We used a free afternoon to check out some of the popular tourist spots in Nusa Penida.

In no particular order they are:

“Broken Beach”

“Angel’s Billabong”

Each in its own right is pretty amazing, formed over who knows how many millions of years.  While admiring these  natural wonders, 25 or so other living natural wonders (a pod of dolphins)  swam into the bay and went on a feeding expedition.  I happen to think they were showing off a bit to the tourists.

I found myself much more drawn to the playfulness and pack mentality of these mammals as they were synchronized in their movements than I was drawn to the rock formations.

Call it a metaphor for the present over the past or something else but it was not lost on me what mattered more in that moment.
